Holiday Marketing and Discounted One-On-One Coaching

It’s that time of year when we’re all flooded with plans and parties, shopping and end-of-year responsibilities.  It’s possible that the last thing you want to do right now is launch a whole new holiday marketing campaign, which is completely understandable.  But there are some really easy things you can do to help your clients know that you’re in the holiday spirit and, thus, increase your sales.

1. Change the photos on your social media sites. Maybe you put a picture of a winter scene on your Facebook business page. Or maybe you adjust your avatar in Twitter so that you’re by an open fire.  Maybe you update your Tumbler background to something with candles.  Small changes to photos can really help signal your holiday spirit.

2. Send simple holiday greetings to your mailing lists.  A very simple Happy Holidays note with a great photo and no requests for information, no sales pitch, no heavy reading can be just a little flash of holiday joy in the minds of your clients.

3. Share information about where your organization gives charitable gifts. Perhaps you donate clothing or toys to the Salvation Army.  Or maybe your employees work on lunch at a soup kitchen. Maybe you have organized a donation drive to aid in the aftermath of the typhoon in the Philippines.  Share what you’re doing for others during this season – in a newsletter or on social media – and let your clients know you think of others, too.

4. Be a bit more personal.  Maybe show a photo of you and your family gathering your Christmas tree.  Or if you know what it is to be alone during this time of year, share your compassion for the lonely.  Maybe you could tell a story about a childhood holiday celebration that you still remember.  These personal stories help connect you and your clients more deeply/

5. Offer a year end sale or discount. At this time of year, of course, people are giving gifts and planning for next year. Consider offering a special discount or a particular “gift package” for your customers.  It will help them meet some of their goals and help you meet yours as well.

So if you’re too swamped, you don’t need to launch a whole new marketing campaign for this time of year. Some really simple changes can make a big difference.

So what’s one small thing you can do in your marketing to bring the holiday spirit to life for your customers?
