Are You My Ideal Client?

Starting my own Virtual Assistance Firm has been quite an adventure.  One of the best side effects of doing this has been that I get to study and learn new things every day!  One of the things I’ve learned recently is that it’s super important to define who your ideal client is.

It took a while for me to realize the value in doing this, but I sat down several days ago and thought about it.  Then I started tweeting those ideal characteristics on Twitter that night.  The following is what I came up with.

My Ideal Client….

  • is generous, gregarious and an all around fun person to hang out with
  • is smart, funny, gracious, appreciative, well mannered, ethical, respectful and compassionate
  • appreciates the finer things in life and doesn’t mind paying for them
  • knows the ins and outs of what needs to be done and the time it takes to get the job done
  • has a clear vision of what they want me to do for them and can communicate that vision clearly
  • recognizes a job well done, or when someone goes over and above the call of duty
  • is looking for a partner to help their business grow
  • realizes that it takes a village and that village can be a virtual village

As time goes by and I have the opportunity to broaden my experiences and work with a greater variety of people I’ll be able to add to and refine this list.  So what do you think?  Are you my ideal client?

Comments

  1. You sound like my kinda girl, fun, experienced, open, bright and ready to have a go.

  2. Just read who your ideal client is and I think I’m it. Have heard fabulous things about you from Lara Galloway (I’m in her mastermind group). I’m getting ready to get in touch. Way too much to do and finally, F-I-N-A-L-L-Y realizing I can’t do it on my own.
