Virtual Assistance Explained…

I’ve been playing with Twitter this past week, getting my feet wet, so to speak.  I downloaded TweetDeck and I’ve been studying up on the features.  One of the features allows you to maintaing an open Search for whatever keyword you like.  Of course, my first choice was ‘Virtual Assistant’.

Lo and behold one of the first tweets that pops up is from someone asking about Virtual Assistance.  She knew what we did, but she didn’t know how to actually use one.

So what exactly is a Virtual Assistant?  Here’s how the IVAA explains it:

“A Virtual Assistant (VA) is an independent entrepreneur providing administrative, creative and/or technical services. Utilizing advanced technological modes of communication and data delivery, a professional VA assists clients in his/her area of expertise from his/her own office on a contractual basis.”

So what does that mean for you and your business?

A Virtual Assistant is a professional with years of unique training and specialized experience. They are driven and passionate about what they do.

A Virtual Assistant gets the job done quicker and and with a greater level of quality than your average employee.

A Virtual Assistant is someone who will partner with you to assess and fulfill your needs and help your business grow.

A Virtual Assistant provides their own office, computer, and equipment.

A Virtual Assistant is an independent contractor so you don’t have to worry about benefits, insurance, payroll taxes, sick or vacation pay.

A Virtual Assistant provides flexibility and availability. They’re there for you when you need them. You only pay for the time they spend on your tasks.
